A beautifully decorated restaurant, most certainly the prettiest in Swanage. I’d read up on places to eat on trip advisor and the corner restaurant was a firm favorite. Everyone said you must book in advance, so when we peaked through the window on Saturday afternoon I called with crossed fingers that they’d still have a table. Lucky for us they did. The décor and prices were enough that we dressed up to eat there, which was a nice treat. We started with raspberry bellinis and then chose our meals from the small, seasonal, delicious sounding menu(five dishes to choose from for each course) I was daring and had pigeon breast to start, mixed seafood with potatoes and leeks for main and a Dorset cheese and chutney plate for afters. My date had delicious food too — salmon terrine, duck breast and cheesecake. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of delicious wine with our meals and treated ourselves to espresso martinis to finish off the night. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, talking to us about the dishes and wines and generally just being very lovely. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and it was popular enough that they had to turn potential diners away. It cost us £100 for cocktails, wine, and a three corse meal for two. A great night and gorgeous food. A real treat!
