When I was a kid going to the local fruit and veg shop was the weekly norm. These days it’s all about over the top packaging and pricing. For me it is like going to a sweet shop and liking everything(even the nutty swirls) so it’s a win/win situation. Each visit starts the same way… I’m eyeing the shop up as I approach, waiting for it… waiting for it… and then POW! It finally hits me; the smell of strawberries mixed with oranges and cherries, sweet, sweet, sweet! Then comes a hint of mint and a slap of freshness. How I love this feeling! Then I come back down out of my cloud and start filling up my basket. I get the shopping whilst my hubby goes and picks out a new plant fro the large selection outside. They have a really good selection of fruits and salads that cover all of our needs. What we pay here is slightly more than we could pay at a supermarket but we prefer to pick out exactly what we want so it leaves us with no waste at the end of the week. I suggest you jump on a banana and slide on down to have a browse, you’ll enjoy the freshness and spot a few bits you wouldn’t normally associate with a fruit and veg shop.
