Well this wonderful memorial might be part of the American Constitution, but it was ours first! Some people, even the P.M. recently stated that it should be part of our own ethos. Other people think we have lost sight of the original principles, and only parts of the meaning have either been hijacked or watered down to every petty conveniences. Take your pick?

The Magna Carta Memorial is only 7 miles SE of Windsor Castle located in the Runnymede Meadow. This is the site where King John signed and sealed the Magna Carta. What an amazing place to bear witness! You must go. It’s an honorable place for Americans as its the foundation of our Constitution. The American Bar Association erected the Memorial in 1957 and Queen Elizabeth II dedicated a memorial to JFK after his assassination plus 1 acre of land to be used as US soil that is now managed and maintained by the Kennedy Trust Fund. Lastly, you’ll see oak trees from Jamestown, Virginia planted here to commemorate the 1st English colony that settled in America by Cpt John Smith(the same guy that Pocahantes saved. You can see his statue at the St. Mary-le-Bow church in London).
