If you are in Lavenham and need some sustenance in the form of food or, as I am prone to enjoy, a pint then go no further than this delightful pub. Set on the main street it is a MUST if visiting this Suffolk town. On entering we felt immediately welcome with a cheery smile, and extremely quick service, by the three ladies behind the bar. We only popped in for a drink but the Sunday lunchtime rush was in full flow. Actually, the food looked really good and was being woofed down by the patrons which gave me the impression that not only did it look good but tasted good too. The service around these tables was fast and efficient. I also noticed that once a table had been left it was totally cleaned and set for the next customer. Hygiene was a AAA+++, and very nice to see. So often, in a pub or restaurant, the tables are sticky and worrying. Thank you ladies for a refreshing hours break from walking around your wonderful town.
