Tiamo’s Continental Cafe

Came here for lunch on a Sunday and quite annoyed I hadn’t discovered it earlier! It’s just next to the old sweet shop, up from Laura Ashley — the place looks small from outside but once inside it stretches back a long way, decorated in a Mediterranean style with wood floor and mismatched furniture. The menu is similar, ranging from sausage sandwiches to encompass pretty much every Meditarranean cuisine in some form or another, from tapas to pasta.
We had chickpea salad with grilled halloumi, the portions were decent and it was nicely dressed, very tasty! The children had enormous sausage sandwiches. Average pricing — lunch for 4 of us including several cups of coffee and juice was just over £30. Service was quick and friendly, although it was pretty quiet so I can’t speak for busier times.
Altogether a lovely place, but order a large coffee as they are still pretty small!
