Having owned my own Nail Business for 8 years I was very happy creating new nail designs and catching up with my lovely clients, that was until I won my first award Scottish Nail Technician of the year 2012. I was, to say the least overjoyed and overwhelmed and it stirred something that made me want to further develop my skills to help and train new talent within the nail industry. I then went on to train to become an educator with Crystal Nails, a Global organisatation growing rapidly in Eurpoe and were winning many industry awards and their products were highly respected, this was believe it or not a nerve wrecking time for me, as I had built up a client base to now diversify how would I be able to manage both — I just had to, and glad I did… In 2013 I was again overwhelmed when I won Scottish Nail Technician of the Year 2013 but it was a different feeling because also supporting me were all the lovely students that I had trained and the feeling of achievement.
