What a different attitude than that of the alleged pub down the road. The staff are wonderful, the food excellent and in copious amounts. Selection of ales includes good old West Country as well as other well-​known brews. Rob and Lucy do everthing to make you visit memorable.
A two night break here will cost £218.00 fortwo persons and includes Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, twin bedded room.
Not bad I would say. Might even come back without The Kids!!!

My clear favourite pub in St Austell & its environs. And in this case we are in the environs, in Charleston. This is the first pub you encounter on the way down the hill and if drink is all you are interested in then you can probably just stop here.
I love St Austell Brewery, but not many of their pubs have a guest (first time I have seen it). This pub had an almost full selection of their beers (even the Black Prince was holding court) and local wench Betty Stogs was available too. Had to go for Proper Job, what with it being one of my five favourite beers ever, but if I’d been able to stay longer I would not have been bored!
Lovely feel to the place with a nice garden for the warmer weather. Perfect? Maybe if they get in an exterminator in to fumigate the Stella infestation :)

For pub grub in the St Austell area, one of the best places to go.
The Carvery is fantastic, although the dishes a bit small for the hungry joe, the food is all freshly cooked and meat of the bone, unlike some places where its just microwaved frozen stuff.
Always plenty of room to eat, as there is overflow from restaurant into the public bar which is large, with a flavour of local figures always recanting their tales of the sea and mines.

Good choice of local beers and ciders. Wide pub food menu with some flexibility to swap peas for salad etc!
Nice atmosphere with a mix of locals and holiday makers blending well.
Some entertainment throughout the summer on a Friday or Saturday night — although not intrusive. Pool table and darts board available as well as some games (Triv, Scrabble, Yahzee etc) to keep you entertained.
Car park is quite uneven, and very slippy in the wet (they do have signs warning you of this!).

The Rashleigh is a great pub. it has a big nautical theme inside as is right on Charlestown Harbour. The food is excellent and i have eaten there regularly. there is also a selection of bar snacks available. The beer garden is great to sit in the summer as everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. there is also a lot of bar games such as pool, darts and a range of board games to play.

Good food, great atmosphere, friendly staff and modern contemporary décor. The carpark is a little bumpy so take it easy if you’re in heels!
NB This restaurant is also a guest house but I’ve not stayed overnight.
