Pizza Express

The pizzas are quite delicious and tasty, also the sides. But the attitude of waitress are not as good as the food. Almost no smile along our dinner.

Large selection of pizzas and calzones, all of which are very yummy. Prices are very decent and reflect the high quality of the food. The atmosphere is great and fresh, having just been renovated, with large window looking out onto the church square. The service is also good.

Pizza Express is good value for money and you always know what you are getting. I can recommend the salads and the Haggis pizza! It is a nice spacious restaurant with big windows and friendly staff.

Went to Pizza Express yesterday with some friends to celebrate Valentines Day. We got the garlic bread which was really puny and an embarrassingly small portion for 2 quid…
My friend and I split a bottle of Shiraz… after all it was Valentines day and we were single so we needed to wash it down more easily…
My other friend and I split the margarita pizza which was ok but when I asked for a little parmesan on top our waiter went super skimpy on it… The pizza was really hard to cut as well so that wasn’t so cool. I much preferred my other friends pizza which had rocket on it but there was so much that it just looked like the chef dumped a salad on top.
*** But pizza express get the redeming quality of fitting us in without a reservation on valentines day so yay for that…
… But even after all the wine and the adequate pizza I have realised that I still fucking hate Valentines Day… and thus my review of Pizza Express maybe slightly tainted by my hatred for Valentines Day.

A wide selection of innovative pizza toppings on a base cooked to your personal preference make for a lovely dinner in this attractive restaurant in the centre of town. It is often busy, especially on weekends, so booking is recommended but the hustle and bustle inside creates a great atmosphere. The staff here are exceptional, the manager is professional and friendly and the whole team seems to be working hard to ensure every diner is happy.

It being part of a larger chain, Pizza Express can leave you feeling a little unspecial and just part of a bigger picture — but not so much in the St Andrews outlet. Very nice food at good prices, with top notch services. They help out a lot if you want to host birthday dinners and try their best to make your night special. It is not my usual place of choice, I prefer smaller local restaurants, but there is really nothing negative that I can say about it, and I am sure I will eat there again soon!
