Staff were lovely, unfortunately the food is quite bland(teriyaki, salad, chilli men). The only person who seemed to enjoy his meal ea our baby. Of course, bland food is right up his alley :-) a real shame as I used to love Wagamama when we lived in town.

I keep forgetting that I’m over Wagamama. The St Albans restaurant has a great well lit space, and the service is generally cheery, but the food is, well… Inauthentic westernised Asian«themed» cuisine. Nothing mind blowing or even remotely special, and the same is true at all of their locations(since its the same menu world over). Big fat meh.

I love popping to «Wags», I almost always have the same thing(Chicken Katsu Curry)… food is fresh and quick and comes in any order it is done, so don’t get cross if your company get their main dish and sides whilst you only have a drink! All part of the fun as are the benches and tables where you get sat where there is space. Orders are done wirelessly so are near instantaneously sent to the kitchen to be made freshly. If you’re an iPhone owner/user look at the Wagammam’s app… genius!

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. The staff was very friendly and everything. It was really busy with groups of students though. I was alone with my boyfriend and they eventually asked us if we’d like to sit a bit further away from the loud group, which was nice. Like I said, i was quite busy so it took a while for the food to arrive. But the bad thing was, I got my food long before my boyfriend got his At one point I noticed one of the staff saw that we were still waiting for his order to come and he brought it over quite soon after that, but he didn’t say anything about it. If they would have apologised i would have probably rated them a star higher right now. Food was lovely :) prices are nice.

I love eating with chopsticks — I don’t know why… and love food that arrives quickly. Waga — people do this with style and theatre — scribbling orders on table mats and firing up the chefs who wok in full view. It’s great — so is the food, piles of eggy rice, tangled noodles and thick miso. mmm

Busy Busy Busy. Great menu, great food and a buzzing atmosphere. I’d go here time and time again.

Unfortunately this branch has gone downhill in service since I last ate here. There was a queue on entrance and I guessed it was busy as usual on a Saturday evening with families and couples. Well, it was busy, but the queue was due to unprepared tables… and several of them. Staff were unwilling to take a full order at one time which I found odd. Waiter would only take the drink order and I had to wait a while for the same waiter to come back to take the food order(how strange!). I usually order one of the specials for mains with udon instead of the usual soba noodles. On this occasion my waiter said they couldn’t accomodate my request as they were too busy! Very poor showing in summary from this usually reliable quick food joint.

Wagamamas is one of my favourite restaurants and a must for anyone wanting something tasty, fresh and filling. I’ve been to many but St. Albans stands out due to the friendly, helpful and efficient staff. If you’re ever in Hertfordshire and fancy noodles or rice-based dishes. definitely drop in!

I frequently have to queue for a table when I go to eat at this restaurant(it would be good if they took bookings). However, they are usually fairly quick to take your order and as others have said the food tends to arrive quickly. The chicken katsu curry often runs out here– it is obviously a popular dish!

Wagamama’s is a good choice for a quick lunch with freinds on a Saturday afternoon between shopping and starbucks! The food is cooked fresh and i normally find the food hits your table less than ten minutes after you’ve ordered it. The food is very similar to chinese, but really fresh ingrediants and a lot lighter and healthier than a chinese meal. The food is relatively reasonably priced as well, not ridiculously cheap but no more than average in the high street, especially in St. Albans area. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is generally buzzing as everything happens very quickly. The only downside is, the seating is pretty similar to park benches so you could be on a table of complete strangers if you’re not lucky.

Great for kids! Kids love this place. They have a good children’s menu. The highchairs are handy as they clip onto the table so you can sit anywhere. There is not much room for buggies. There is a wide variety of food to choose from soups, noodles and rice dishes. There are side dishes to choose from. Food comes out when it is ready, so you could have your meal 5 minutes before your partner. They don’t open until 12, so there can be queue to get in at lunchtime. I love the chocolate cake with wasabi! The fresh fruit juice is fantastic as well.

It’s Wagamama’s, a Japanese noodle bar run by someone who isn’t Japanese. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the place is average at best. The noodles aren’t too bad but the quality fluctuates alot, the service can be terrible on occasions too. It is pretty cheap and with all the vouchers and what have you floating around cheaper than eating in. Unfortunately there isn’t another place that does noodles so we’re stuck with it!

Wagamama St Albans is in Christopher place next door to Carluccios and right by the Christopher Place car park on the ground floor. If you have visited a Wagamama before, it’s just like all the others ie great! I come here at least once a month to enjoy the noodles. The food is really fresh, healthy and very tasty. They have a great childrens menu and my 2 year old loves it. The food arrives as and when it is ready so it’s not like a normal restaurant when you have starters and main course. The fresh juices they make are pretty good but the desserts are best skipped.

This is one of my favourite restaurants! You walk in the door and are normally seated quite quickly(sometimes tricky for town centre locations at lunch times, but even then they’re pretty quick). The seating arrangements are like what I would call the old school dinner type benches, so you could find yourself sitting next to a complete stranger, but you are always seated with the rest of your party so I’ve never found this to be a problem. The food is cooked fresh and is so quick! I normally find the food hits your table less than ten minutes after you’ve ordered it. The dishes do sometimes arrive at separate times, so one of you may be eating before the other, but they’re never far apart. The food is chinese style, but really fresh ingrediants. Some of the dishes are a little spicy, but not everything on the menu has spice added so there are dishes you can chose if you’re not a spice fan. The food is relatively reasonably priced as well, not dirt cheap but no more than average in the high street(around £8−9 for a main). I would definitely recommend it. Not one for a romantic or an intimate meal, but good for dinner or lunch out with friends or family.

This is a nice restaurant, very modern with wooden tables and benches. I went when we were out in St Albans and we just needed somewhere quick to eat. Although it was a Friday night and it was busy, we managed to get a seat and get served very quickly. The food was excellent and great if you like well flavoured food as i do.

This place, as trunkguy says, is great for inexpensive but good food. There is something for everyone with veggie and kid-friendly options. If the service is slow(luckily) we haven’t had this problem, it’s a great idea to enjoy the edamame starter(lovely soya beans) with some of the free green tea. The staff have always been polite and attentive, we’ve never had to wait ages for the bill or to order.

Nice inexpensive restaurant with ample seating. Avoid on Sunday evenings as it tends to be full of tweenies having birthday parties. 90% of the time the service is very speedy — sadly we have had an occasion where we waited for 90 minutes between dishes. Still it’s a nice venue but go early as it can get very busy.
