Very quick transport into London from here. Only just over 20 minutes, making this a great place to commute from (except when things go wrong, of courseas they do so often with transport in this country).
Station is a bit bare though. There are no shops of any kind within the station itselfor right by the station either in fact. A couple of kiosks are located on the platform but they were closed when I was there. Also the vending machine was switched off. Yes I had the munchies, what of it?

My station and the start of my morning misery.
Like all things First Capital Connect is gradually becoming purple and pink.
FCC are trying to update the station but it’s a sorry state of affairs at present.
The WHSmith for example is in a portacabin on the southern platform and doesn’t open on the weekends.
If you are a bloke and you want a wee before departure, hope you’re going north from platform 3 as that’s the only gents!
For what we pay to commute into London, Brighton, Gatwick and Luton Airport we deserve much better than this.
