We are new to the St Albans area and were looking for a good fish and chip shop that we can call our local. We were actually recommended to visit Master Fryer so we did. We walked into the fish and chip shop and there were 2 other customers waiting before us. None of the 3 staff behind the counter acknowledgedany of their customers and preferred to answer the phone than deal with people waiting. Finally after 15 minutes of waiting they asked the first customer what she wanted but did not say ‘sorry for the wait’ and did not even make eye contact. We decided to leave but before we did my husband wanted to say something to the manager. My husband politely pointed out that we and the other customers had been waiting awhile and the manager replied rudely ‘well we’re busy’ — horrendous customer service and I will never go there again or recommend it to other people!!!
