I stayed overnight at this wonderful establishment. I was there for a function that was being held in the bar. We had booked a finger buffet for the occasion. It has to be said the choice of venue could not have been better. It is a welcoming and friendly family affair. Indeed the current owner actually built the accommodation and associated buildings himself. My room was spacious and well appointed it was clean and functional. TV, tea making paraphernalia including biscuits as well as complimentary shower gel etc. The bed was divine and a great nights kip was had. I was even given a early morning knock as I had forgotten my alarm clock. You would have to be the type of person that wants to be disappointed to find any faults with the room or its facilities. They also have a room with a bar and a large screen TV. Breakfast, well. all that I can assume is that Mr Mears must be a former lorry driver(said in the nicest way) as it was plentiful and delicious. Cereals, FULL English, with all the usual suspects bacon, sausage. hash browns, tomatoes etc etc. toast and jams the lot. Fruit juice, tea or coffee and it appeared to me as though you could drink as much as you wanted and eat toast till it came out of your ears. All in all the B & B is the tops. I have to say at £50 for a double room, this is fantastic value and the host and hostess are really very nice a nothing too much trouble. We kept Mrs Mears up until 0140hrs! and it was not a problem.
