This place is probably the best pub we found on our pub crawl along the prom. This is clearly a great venue for live music, boasting to have such artists as La Roux performing there that year. The Mrs got very excited to see that Heather Crow was coming there in October. I have no idea who she is, but apparently its a big-ish deal! There is a great selection behind the bar, including non-alcoholic beer for the Mrs and its cheap. The staff are friendly and efficient. They know how to pull a pint. Being on the prom there’s ample outdoor seating which is a draw for the tourists in the day and great for the smokers in the eve.

enjoyed a sunday afternoon mini-sesh in here on a touristy day trip to south end. we were lured in by the fact that some of our favourite bands had played the venue here, and we were not disappointed. we enjoyed lounging for the afternoon, drinking some beer/cider/wine and attacking the very random video jukebox that they have. i think people were really happy drinking in there until we got control of the music, a little bit of katy perry, a little bit of nerd, a little bit of brand new, a little bit of gym class heros, you know how it is!

An average place to get some drinks, but nothing to write home about, especially considering competition faced from the larger nightclubs, bars, and restaurants. It often seems to be pretty deserted compared to other locations, and although it was recently refurbished, it still doesn’t seem to impress that much, though it’s nothing too bad either, so don’t let that deter you.

Nice pub with a friendly atmosphere. Benches outside when you want that summer drink in the sunshine. Toilets are clean but not very modern and as far as I am aware the hand dryer in the ladies still doesn’t work which gives the impression that they don’t really care. This pub is different from others as on half is a pub but the other is a live music venue aimed at people of the age 16 and over. Chinnerys has seen acts such as Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and The Hoosiers. The live music area is very good and has been recently modernised so isn’t such a dive. Seats in the main pub are not very nice but the staff are welcoming.

Sooooo many memories here. One of the only good places around this area for under 18s. I went here from the age of 16 to 18 every friday. Alternative place, can be busy and can be really quiet. Prices of drinks are pretty standard. I remember seeing Soil here. :D It was an excellent gig as its so cosy. Also recently refurbed, no more scummy toilets downstairs and nice new ones upstairs! Also good as if you want to phone someone you can go upstairs and get signal whereas downstairs i never got signal ever.
