With 10+ screens this cinema has plenty showing at anytime, especially when it comes to new releases There is an IMAX screen with 3D ability plus a couple of normal sized screens that can show 3D movies There is a well stocked small area with ice cream and other assortments on one side of the foyer and more traditional popcorn and chocolates and cold drinks on the other side Seats comfy and a reasonable amount of leg room

Good cinema. Comfy seats, good size screens and imax very loud but so cool felt every vibration. Great snack to purchase beforehand from Ben and Jerry’s, pick a mix, hot dogs, popcorn etc.

I don’t understand why there are assigned seats, costing less/more depending on which seat you pick. I wasn’t happy when I went there the first time with my boyfriend because I thought assigned seats were utterly stupid and still think they are. If in the US, people who go to the movie theaters can cope without having assigned seats then why isn’t it the same here? I cannot wrap my mind around the necessity of assigned seats except for the fact that it is probably to make further money as if movie theater tickets weren’t that expensive by themselves. Mind-boggling.

Bearing in mind that I am a Canuckistani(aka Canadian) now living in the UK the one thing I love about movie cinemas is that you can reserve a seat — there’s assigned seating! The Odeon, like most movie cinemas, has the ability to book tickets online — no need to line up to purchase your tickets. This particular facility has been around for atleast 10 years for most cinemas so I won’t be commenting further on it. The cinema is like most others, it’s a multiplex with various movies showing at various times. The seating is fairly comfortable. And there is the usual concessions available — popcorn, pop, candy, chocolate, hot dogs and water. The only issue I have with the Concessions is that they are unbelievably slow. For the price we are paying I would expect that in the space of 20 minutes that the server be able to process more than two orders — but such was not the case this past weekend. The fellow was polite, I’ll give him that, but unbelievably slow. Would I recommend the Odeon? It’s about the only multiplex in the area showing current movies, located rather conveniently across from the West Quay Shopping Centre, an IKEA, with plenty of parking and some rather dubious dining establishments such as Frankie & Benny’s.
