Typical Weatherspoons pub, great value for money on the food and drink. Supurb curry night. Can get busy on Friday and Saturday nights

My friends and I visited this pub after a fairly heavy night out and with rumbling stomachs we all had our hearts set on the roast dinners which Wetherspoons sell on a Sunday. We were left a little frustrated however as we had to wait quite a while for our food to arrive. Our group consisted of about 9 or 10 people and some were halfway through meals before the others arrived which was annoying as our meal didn’t feel like a group experience. I can’t really blame the staff on duty that day, the pub seemed a little understaffed for a Sunday lunch and that has to be the fault of the higher powers who sort the rotas out. Other than that issue, it was an alright pub. It was a bit bland in terms of character and I can’t say that the prospect of visiting the place fills me with excitement. The lack of music made it good for conversation and relaxing but I can’t say that I would have many memorable nights out here. It makes a good place to meet and grab a few cheap drinks before grabbing a cab into Croydon town centre. It is based on a main road so parking outside isn’t advised but there are some side roads in which you can park.
