Proper old fashioned local, but NOT in the«we won’t talk to you and go all quiet when you walk in» type of local. Used to go here quite a lot a few years ago and have just started visiting again; not surprisingly, it’s changed hands and been refurbished but still a good place for a nice evening out. A few beers on tap, some ciders and usually a couple of barrels(beer) served on gravity, i.e. barrels behind the bar. Must mention the pizza’s though. You can choose a basic pizza e.g. Margherita(sorry for spelling), Quattro Formaggia etc and then add some toppings of your choice(chilli, goats cheese, capers etc). Brilliant, and ghen it comes served with a little basket of sauce bottles.
