I have been eating here for years. I make my hotel choices in the Heathrow airport area based around having an authentic Thai meal and a pint of London Pride. This pub «The Punch Bowl» has an authentic Thai restaurant in it!!! I know it’s amazing and I swear it’s like being back in Thailand the food is made fresh and it is really that good. The downsides are there are only a limited number of seats so I would phone ahead to avoid disappointment.

Ah the Punch Bowl. It’s one of the best places to eat in the area (granted the are very few options within walking distance but still).
This pub is a proper old man’s pub with quite a few regulars helping hold up the bar from lunch through to closing. It also is home to an excellent little Thai restaurant which has kept me fed through many a lunch away from home.
The menu is fairly extensive given the size of the restaurant and you can have any dish with any of the meat options (chicken, pork, or beef) or just veggie. They will also tailor the spice to your preference although be careful about being cocky as they will burn you down if you are too boastful about your spice tolerance. Luckily, a cold cider from the bar will help with that :-P
Overall, for the price (£5−6) and the quantity (enough to put you into a food coma) it’s a great little lunch spot to rival a trip to M&S (if there was one).

Great lunchtime venue if you’re short on time but are looking for good service and tasty, freshly prepared Thai food. About 25 dishes on the menu but each one comes with your choice of meat. From order to table was less than 5 minutes — no frills or pleasantries, but efficient. Two lunch dishes and soft drinks came to £15.
