A lovley stone built building fronting onto the green and the picturesque River Wharfe. SLightly different to when I worked there as a young girl for the Smales family when it was builit of wood with a tin roof! However, I digress, still with an olde worlde feel yet modern and clean. Caters to all tastes and everyone is welcome, a popular place for walkers, and bikers, motorised or other. Very busy in the Summer obviously a little quieter in the Winter but still popular. Lovely homemade cakes, scones, Sandwiches with freshly made bread and butter. Soups of the day, specials, scrummy pies, a great tea rooms. Although they do, do, more substantial meals as well. These I cannot comment on as we are usually just visiting the old stomping ground and tend to have snacks etc, but I have noticed that anyone having a larger plate meal very rarely leaves anything on their plate! The hot chocolate is to die for. Very friendly staff who will give advice on local areas of interest etc., There are three steps up to the builiding and I could not see another entrance for wheel chairs so not easy access. Some seats outside as well. Paying parking is available opposite or further along over the bridge in the car park field. If you are lucky you may find a space in front of the green.(in the Winter usually) A great placeto stop after a walk along the River or if just passing through and for a small village Burnsall has a fantastic range of hostelries. There is also the Village shop adjoining for souvenirs, sweets and groceries.

A popular tea room among cyclists and walkers the Wharfe View tea rooms are in the lovely village of Burnsall, a stones throw from the River Wharfe. Due to this popularity with outdoor types it is relatively busy all year round, although only in the summer will you struggle to get a table. It is run by a family with a few bits of outside help and the service is first rate and the prices very reasonable. The food is probably as you would expect for the price and there can certainly be no complaints on this front.
