We are a pub/​restaurant in the small village of Grenoside, north on the outskirts of Sheffield, providing fine dining, quality wines and real ales. The restaurant offers a professional but relaxed service. allowing guests time and opportunity to relax and enjoy their meals, chosen from the Pub Classics or A la’ carte’ menu’s.

Walkers are very welcome to bring their well behaved dogs into the bar area off from the restaurant, where food is served to enable dog owners to have a meal if they so desire.

Surrounded by Grenoside Woods and lovely Yorkshire countryside, with a rigorous and challenging mountain bike trail appx a mile away, we are ideally situated for outside enthusiasts to come in, have a break, a drink, a meal or just a sit down after or between their exertions.

History

Established in 2010.

2010 is the year the current lease was taken on, but the building itself has been around since the 18C. Originally built as 3 cottages, it was transformed into a halfway house with stabling facilities and then to a public house for the majority of it’s history.

Meet the Manager

Manager

The general manager, responsible for all aspects of the restaurant and pub.

Employed as such for the last 18 months or so, it is a totally different environment from what he has been used to, and although the managing side is straightforward and is what he has experience in, learning the inside information about the pub/​restaurant trade has been a steep learning curve, but one which he has enjoyed very much.
