BB’s

After an extensive amount of expensive trial and error in attempting to find good Italian here in Sheffield, I was about ready to resign myself to sticking with Tesco gnocchi when a friend invited me here for her birthday celebration. AT LAST.
BB’s is the kind of Italian joint I’m used to at home in the states — comfort food served in uncomfortably close quarters. My group each ordered a different pasta dish, and we were all impressed with the size and quality of each. I’ve been on a bit of a pine nut binge, and the spaghetti al pesto satisfied perfectly. The food here isn’t some sort of godsend lifted directly from the streets of Rome, but it’s tasty, cheap, and boasts some less conventional offerings including a smoked salmon linguine dish and lobster ravioli.
The only thing that suffers a bit here is the service, which was surprisingly inattentive considering the restaurant is tiny and there were three waiters working on a Wednesday night. Perfectly friendly, but we did have to interrupt a conversation about soccer between staff to order.

Really basic, bland food.
I’ve been 3 times over the last couple of years. 1^st time my choice. 2^nd time due to seeing good reviews and thinking that I’d just been on a bad night. The 3^rd time for a work’s do.
I’ve seen steaks given rare when asked medium, well done (in fact virtually cremated) for rare, calzones with burnt bases, slow service, wrong drinks, wrong bills.
I’m all for independant restaurants, and hate the fact chains are taking over city centres. I’d go to Pizza Hut before BB’s.and I never go to Pizza Hut !

BB’s is awesome. One of my favourite places to eat in Sheffield. It can sometimes feel a little cramped, especially when in a large group, as I was, but that’s well worthwhile for the quality of food. The first time, I almost didn’t go, having been told by others that it wasn’t worth the time and money. How wrong they were. I ordered the Fillet Steak and I can honestly say it was probably the best I’ve ever had. After a relatively short wait, a gloriously presented, huge piece of juicy rare steak was delivered to our table and I wolfed it down in less than 10 minutes. The price was around the £17 mark and I’d gladly pay it again.
The restaurant operates a bring-​your-​own policy on alcohol, although be aware that this only applies to beer and wine, not cider. We took advantage of the local supermarket’s Chateauneuf-​du-​Pape for £7 offer and this proved a great value accompaniment to the meal.
Dinner for eight came to under £150.

This is a great little place to visit for a meal.
Its in a good town locatiion, there is plenty of parking nearby and closed to major bus & tram routes.
The food is excellant and leaves you satisfied.
The menu is a good size, enough choice to pick from.
The staff are friendly.
The prices are reasonable for town as well.
It can get a little warm when the whether is hot.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in Sheffield. It is so authentically Italian. I ate there in a table of 4 and tried the grilled Swordfish — it was amazing. The waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating and the place has a romantic, Mediterranean atmosphere to it which I’ve never experienced in Sheffield, let alone London where I live.
I strongly recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment as they are only open during the evenings.

BYO restaurant in a lovely area of Sheffield. The pizzas are great, the staff are great and the prices are great! Can’t really fault it. It’s a great place for large bookings too — we hired out the whole of the top floor for around 25 of us for no extra charge. Good for work parties etc or for a quiet date alike. Lovely restaurant.

Lovely Italian restuarant in Division street. Staff are really friendly and it has an authentic Italian feel. You can also bring your own drink, which makes it a cheap night out.

I love BB’s, one of my favourite restaurant in Sheffield. Competely unpretentious and friendly. The best thing is that it is bring your own! Pizzas and salads very reasonable, meat and fish dishes more pricey as to be expected.
Excellent location and a really intimate traditional admosphere.
Booking is essential.

bb’s is a lovely little italian restaurant, it feels very authentic, the menu isnt huge to be fair, but the food is really good. great wine in there too. its also situated in a great location along division street, near all the shops and bars, so theres plenty to do once youve had your meal.

This a small and cosy traditional Italian restuarant, its tables are small and the tables clothes brightly coloured. It can get very busy at the weekends so you do need to book, its also BYOB with a small corkage charge which makes for a very reasonably priced night out. But a good place to celebrate with a group of friends.
The food is very good and they offer a wide range of pizzas, pasta and lasagne dishes and the staff are great and always give a good service.

One of my fave restaurants when I was a student! All in all, pretty standard italian cuisine but with the added benefit of being BYOB! Great location, perfect for drinks afterwards Restaurant is very, very small so would advise booking ahead particularly at weekends!

This was the first restaurant I went to when I arrived in Sheffield. Unfortunately it’s very small so can get really cramped, but the food is good — not spectacular — but worth a visit. Can get busy especially at weekends.
