I was really pleased to find this place because my phone had ran out of battery and wanted to find somewhere cheap and cheerful to charge it. It was ‘fish Friday’ which meant I got cod and chips with mushy peas and a Pepsi for only £4.99. Crazy good value. I actually couldn’t believe how cheap that was. The chips were really nice. Wasn’t keen on the cod though and left quite a bit. The mushy peas were OK too.

Handy place for free wifi when traveling. I have only had coffee in here — even though it looks to have a well stocked bar. The coffee is nothing to write home about, but the free wifi is!

Heaven knows it’s something to get me into a ‘Spoons but (hey!) I’m their newest convert… It sure as hell ain’t because of the other regulars, the joints’ ambience or their (excellent) choice of beers. Hell No! It’s because they’re doing take away coffee at 49p from 7am. Lavazza too! Delicious. It’s fantastically cheap & one in the eye for Cra*py Nero & Costa who rule the town otherwise. The promotion is called ‘Wake Up To Wetherspoon’!!! This is as opposed to waking up IN a Wetherspoon or indeed waking up to the fact that you are drinking far too much cheap lager and getting a red blotchy nose.

Go here for breakfast quite frequently, havent ever had a problem with the food. Service is always really quick and staff are chatty. Can take kids in there during the day and because its never very busy in the day and cheap it makes a nice place to do lunch with other mums! Highchairs available and no problem getting the buggy in. Everything is good value, and they always have special offers on both food and drinks. Does tend to get busy in the evening but a nice atmosphere
