We were recommended by friends about this little gem who had come across it by accident. The Snail is literally in the middle of no where. We found using the sat nav was very handy. This is a restaurant although it was a pub some 16yrs ago. The interior is some what dark with matching tables and chairs,(no table clothes) something still of an oldie world pub look to it, but very pleasant. The menu is very good with fish, seafood and various steaks are just some of what is on offer. The prices are what you would expect for a restaurant of this standard. Although having to pay £1.75 for seven thin slices of a French stick was I thought a bit pricey. It has a very well laid out beer garden away from the main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. They have a good selection of wines and guest ales. It gets very busy and it is best to book a table. We will certainly be going again to this little gem.

A fabulous place that I think most people like to keep to themselves. The food is always fresh and beautifully presented. The chef is certainly passionate about food. I was told that you can bring your own home grown vegetales along for a discount. I must admit that I have never seen customers coming in laden with arms of vegetables, so you would have to ask. What a fantastic idea if they do. The prices are what you would expect to pay in a good restaurant and justly so. We have had many meals here and have never been disappointed by the menu, service or food. They also have a beautiful beer garden tucked away from the main road. Children all seem to be welcome here, they have certainly made an effort with our children. A little gem to be shared.
