I was told «we don’t do that here» when I ask to have my neck hair bladed post cut. OK? On the plus side they are open early and let me get a cut, go shopping at Sainsbury/​get cash, and then come back and pay. The cut was fine and the price fair. I go to The Cutting Crew in Oval now, prob out of your way if you are reading this but…

This is where I get my barnet sheared. It’s in Clapham, which is ideal for me, and it’s right next to the tube station so perfect for a chop on the way home from work…
Nothing foo fancy about this place, although it is a class above your ordinary barbers. No tattooed ex-​sailors cleaving at your locks but some friendly folks who all have different accents. They stock GQ to flick through whilst you’re waiting, (although I’ve yet to sit there for more than 10 minutes) and the place is comfortable to relax in.
Not the cheapest, but nowhere near salon prices. Last night it cost me £13 for a scissors cut and my housemates seem to approve. Well, there were no silly comments about lawnmowers anyway.
I’ll continue to return here over the other options in Clapham.
