The Gandy in Sandy is very very handy. I have been made aware of this restaurant back in October 2000. This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Bedfordshire, top quality food, excellent service and value for money. In Gandhi customer experience is very important. Bobby(the manager) has been running this place for almost 30 years and now serving the 3rd generation of the local community, and nothing is more important to him than his customers leaving the premises happy and satisfied. Ever since I discovered Gandhi I have been recomending this place to my family, friends and colleagues. Try and judge for yourself.

Writing this review about 6 months after last visit. Getting the hang of this Qype thing now. Food was good. Service was reasonable. Unfortunately the staff seem to almost demand a tip. They were very unahppy when i didn’t enter a tip on the credit card machine. Actually I had left cash on the table. Wont be going back when there are far better restaurants in town.

The Gandhi in Sandy is one of the nicest Indian restaurants that I have had the pleasure of dining in. The setting is lovely, very intimate and warm — how restaurants should be. The staff give you a warm welcome and are attentative and efficient throughout your visit, but without over-crowding. The menu boasts a great range of authentic meals to suit all tastes, with all the added extras. Meals are served on traditional hotplates on your table to keep them warm, which I think is a really nice touch and great for slow eaters like me! I definitely recommend this restuarant to anyone in the surrounding area.

Everyone laughs at the name Gandhi in Sandy! It is housed in a period building which is beautiful inside and out. The menu is extensive and the service is friendly.
