The Limes

Was a regular visitor, the food WAS simply delicious.
Visited the place recently and I should have been warned when I saw the under new management banner.
We had the sizzler (veg and meat put on a VERY hot metal plate/​grill soit sizzles) and good old fish and chips, when the plates were dumped on the table we were not asked if we wanted any sauces (they were behind the bar) we even had to ask for knives and forks, the sizzler was incredibly salty my partner could not eat it, the fish and chips? the chips looked fine and were OK, the fish looked as though it was one of those oven baked portions that had been put in a hot fyring pan so rather disappointin and tasted a little burnt
we didn’t want to complain, just leave as fast as we could but when asked we mentioned that the sizzler was salty oh, no ones EVER complained.
One got the impression the new managers had never run a catering establishment before and were doing their darnest to maximise profits in the short term — shame, I hope they learn the craft before everyone leaves for good.
Plenty of other places locally so they’llneed to improve fast
