History

Established in 1850.

Situated in the beautiful Bourne Valley in the rolling Wiltshire countryside. Listed in the 1851 census as The Roadside Inn, within 10 years it was renamed to The New Inn, then by 1871 it took the name The Old Inn — by which it is still lovingly known today.

The pub was owned by Gibbs Mew for many years before being purchased by Enterprise Inns.

When it was put up for auction in 2013, a local couple purchased the Freehold with the intention to keep this traditional local pub alive and available as a resource for the local community.
