Having lived just off Chapel St. for around a year I was so surprised that it had taken me so long to go to Lupo. Walking past one day Neil C. and I were ravenous(as per usual) and decided to pop in and give it a try, and I’m so very glad we did. They haven’t been open long, maybe around 6 months or so now, so definitely a newcomer to the area, they specialise in real Italian coffee and it’s good, very very good. I ate their homemade Lasagne and it was by far the best Lasagne I have tasted in Manchester — from all the Italian restaurants combined. This was ‘proper’ lasagne. Not dripping in sauce, the meat tender and vegetables soft. It had the best flavours and I couldn’t wait to thank the lady when she emerged from their tiny kitchen. If you haven’t been to Lupo it’s a MUST try!

This quaint café looks and tastes like Italy in spring. Clean, bright décor and quality ingredients make for a wonderful experience. Came for breakfast with my fiancé — who is a regular here. We had the breakfast specials and coffee. Highly recommend the toast with Italian ham and provolone with egg. Simple but delicious. Tempting to try the homemade croissants as well! All in all, a great local spot on the edge of Manchester/Salford.
