These chaps replaced an engine in an Imported Subaru Impreza. There were some delays involved (not due to them) the Mechanics did quite a decent job not withstanding a small exhaust leak which was beyond their control as was due to a crack in a manifold, HOWEVER I repeatedly told them (Secretary Owner & Mechanic amongst others) I wanted the old engine back as I intended to re condition this myself for re-​sale, when I returned after paying the £700-£800 Bill I was told by a Mechanic that «the scrap-​man had taken it», though the Boxer design engine was clearly visible in the Garage front Yard! .
This is a classic way to ‘Con’ customers into believing their quite (potentially) valuable item is worthless, It was never returned despite my remonstrations!
