Karen C.

Business Owner

My name is Karen (Thao). I am originally from Vietnam. My formative years were spent in Bellevue, Washington, USA. It was here that my love of sewing emerged. My mother studied tailoring and not long after started her own business at home. This business expanded and is still trading after 40 years. Whilst I majored in Chemistry at the University of Washington and enjoy maintaining my interest in Exercise Physiology, it couldn’t compare with my childhood passion of creating garments for comfort and elegance. My life has now come full circle; being a mom myself to an amazing daughter and two fantastic sons. My personal aim: to give back to society what was given to my parents in 1977. Our company aim: to pass on this practical skill to young people through apprenticeships, and also to have the opportunity to make the world a better place through charitable contributions.
