The surroundings are warm, even if the music is a bit off (very old… think 40s!?). And while the counter/​work area upon entry appears quite nice, don’t be deceived! Our sandwiches were mediocre at best. My roast beef panini was 2 sad slices of beef with cheddar drowned in mustard. The menu claimed grilled onions, but none were to be found. My husband’s sandwich wasn’t anything to write home about either. At least the bread was decent and the sandwiches were warm… but save your money & get warm sandwiches on fresh bread at the chain down the street… It’ll be tastier for sure!

This place is fantastic, an eclectic mix of sandwiches, baguettes, ciabbattas, bagels and panini’s made to order to take away, or eat in in the café. They also have a wide range of cakes and pastries, and some gorgeous handmade crisps. I’ve also seen nice looking dried pastas and pasta sauces in there as well, so something for everybody! Fillings for the sandwiches etc tend to have a twist — mozzarella and sun dried tomato with basil, as opposed to your standard cheese and tomato. There’s also a fantastic vegetarian selection! I would thoroughly recommend Lorenzo’s, a lovely atmosphere and gorgeous food.

One of the best cake shops I have EVER been in! The cakes are to die for! Never, ever had a bad cake and everytime I walk past I find myself diving in for a treat!

This is a lovely cake shop that not only sells some other cool stuff (jams, biscuits, pasta sauces etc) but also has a coffee shop at the back where you can get to eat all the yummy stuff you see in the window.
This place is set along rochester high street, and is well worth a look in. I was pleasently surprised with the prices — it isn’t as expensive as it looks. You can also grab some lunch there too as it sells sandwiches to go with all the nice unhealthy cakes.
The staff are lovely and friendly. Just remember to order at the counter otherwise you may find yourself sitting there for a while!
