History

Established in 2012.

The Red Butterfly Bakery was established in 2012 after fine tuning my cake decorating skills since first discovering my passion in 2010.

Since then, I have made cake and cupcakes of all different shapes, sizes, tiers, colours and using all sorts of specialised techniques to achieve stunning designs.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

My name is Charlene, originally from Bury but now living in Rochdale, and I am the owner and cake artist at the Red Butterfly Bakery.

Originally training in and obtaining a degree is Psychiatric Nursing, I jumped from various different jobs including Retail and running my own Café with my Partner Damien, but never really felt like I had found my calling.

That was until I made my Daughters’ 1^st Birthday cake … (which is hilarious to me now but I was proud as punch at the time!) and that was it! I was hooked! Cake decorating quickly became my life, and like most cake artists, I began making cakes for friends and family first, and then once I had honed my skills I took the plunge and it became my job! So now, I eat/​sleep/​breathe cake decorating and I couldn’t be happier!

So that is me :)
