Whether you’re after a quiet pint in our cosy bar area, drinks with friends or a gorgeous meal in our restaurant, Wellingtons, The Boot is the place for you. This great country pub thrives on its friendly atmosphere, well kept beer and delicious food. Built in 1739, the building still has a lot of its original features including an Inglenook fireplace.

Our team of highly skilled chefs pride themselves on our fresh homemade food; varying specials on a daily basis to include seasonal produce sourced locally where possible. Desserts are a must so make sure you leave room! We select a wide range of award winning real ales from all around the country on a weekly basis and have a good selection of traditional ciders in Summer months, which we like to match with our menu.

History

Established in 2010.

Zoe & Nick took over as Managers of The Boot in October 2010 after the pub had been closed for a couple of months. After 1 years trading, they took over as business owners and have since built a brand new kitchen and extended the restaurant, «Wellingtons», with emphasis on keeping the old traditional character and charm that this 1739 building holds.

We have built up a fantastic team of front of house staff who provide a friendly, proffessional and extremely efficient service. With constant ideas of how to take the business forward, The Boot is a fantastic environment to be in.
