Man, this place is gooood. Doesn’t look much from outside (or inside really, I guess), but it’s bloody tasty, reasonably priced, and the staff are sweeties. Pad thai, pad see ew, curries, salads… all gaaawjus, mate. If you’re hoping to eat here over the weekend, make sure you book ahead. This place fills up quick! (Though if you’re too slow, Lemongrass is a good alternative, just round the corner.)

I think I went here at least 30 times in the last 8 months. Fantastic food, very well organised and all in all just a great place.
If you don’t like it spicy (like me) ask to have it «very» mild!

The food, flavours and ambiance are about as authentically Thai as you can get (right down the slightly harassed staff & slightly cramped seating!) This place is so popular that it is often impossible to get a table at peak dinner times, which is testament to the good quality and fantastic value of their food. The only reason I have given a 4 instead of the full 5 stars is because the upstairs area lacks any ambiance and is invariably where I end up because I never manage to book far enough in advance! Having said that, the staff are always very charming and the service is very speedy. Oh, and they do takeaway too perfect!

I have eaten here for years and the food has always remained of the highest standard. I probably eat here about 6 times a year, and I have never had a bad meal.
The decoration is basic (alot of it seems to be left from the Irish pub that was here before), and it is very much a no frills kind of place, but it is one of the most popular places to eat in Ricky for a reason. The curries are amazing, both the green and my personal favourite, the red. The green is alot spicier, so beware if you’re wimpy like me. The chicken satay is amazing, in fact, all the starters are pretty good.
I would recommend Tamarind Thai to anyone, as long as you don’t care about décor too much.

Great place tucked away in Ricky. Staff are great, food is awesome. We always take our friends here for dinner when they’re visiting. Best green curry I’ve ever tasted. Oh, and the seabass… yum. Highly recommended and not heavy on the pocket at all.
