At Ropers what you have is a fairly large range of motorhomes and caravans that sit outside on a gravel/​tarmac area. I found there was quite a good range from fairly modest 2nd hand caravans (up to 10 years old) to brand new all singing and dancing motorhomes (scarily expensive).
The large showroom is dedicated to a vast array of camping and caravanning items, here you’ll also find awnings and tents on display and also a small café to relax in.
I found that Ropers seemed to cater for just about every camping need you could wish for but I was left with the impression that everything was a little on the pricey side.

If you’re looking to buy a caravan in the North Yorkshire/​South Durham area then one of the first places you go to is Ropers. My parents were recently looking to puchase so one Saturday afternoon we headed down there to see what they had in stock.
They had a good range which went from 20 year old models up to brand new, these are displayed in a tarmac and gravel yard which is disabled friendly.
The big showroom houses an accessories section which had just about anything you could think of for your toring home. From awnings to kettles via blow up matresses.
Whilst this time we didn’t buy it did give us some good ideas and the staff were happy to give us details of vehicles we enquired about.
