A wonderful family run shop in the old tradition. If you can’t find what you want or havent a clue what you’re doing just ask, no searching around for an assistant! Trust me, they have everything.
And guess what, they’re a pet shop as well! Weird? Or an added bonus

If you’ve ever watched League of Gentlemen, you’ll get a feel for the vibe of this place. Slightly strange, it’s bit like being transported back in time 20 – 30 years. The strange atmosphere isn’t helped by the weird incongruence of pet food and general hardware being sold in the same shop.
Ask for a plastic bag, and you’ll be rewarded with a tut, a sigh and a bag from a shop down the road. Somehow I don’t think it’s anything to do with being eco-​friendly, and more to do with a customer service ethos that sees customers as an inconvenience.
If you’ve got a child in tow, don’t even think about trying to enter this shop. A comment regarding the difficulty of negotiating the shop’s narrow aisles (blocked with stock) is met not with an apology but with a bellowed ‘It’s delivery day!‘
Steer clear. Steer very clear.
