Whether you’re eating with friends, colleagues or someone special, if you’re looking for something light & delicious or a long, legs under lunch — at The Swan we’re all about fresh ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible, and cooked to perfection. The menus, designed by Head Chef Phil Wild, are seasonal with many dishes prepared to order just how you like them, and all dishes are available in half-​sized portions at half price for children.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion or hosting a function, we have several private dining options available to suit your requirements and size of your party.

History

Established in 1700.

On the banks of the Thames, in a picturesque Berkshire village, just 20 minutes from the M4 in Reading, The Swan at Streatley is an intimate country hotel offering informal luxury, a warm welcome, delicious food and tip-​top service. Manager

General Manager, Laurence Wall is responsible for The Swan Hotel, Riverside Restaurant, Boat House Deli and all private events. Laurence joined The Swan at Streatley having worked at modern day coaching inns, The Olde Bell in Hurley and the Crown in Amersham and was also responsible for upgrading the food and beverage offering of 5 Star Danesfield House Hotel & Spa, as well as the luxury country house Stoke Place in Buckinghamshire «Our restaurant customers are central to our ethos at The Swan», comments Laurence. «As we take this wonderfully positioned property through its refurbishments we plan to keep it simple, provide great service and offer superb value for money, in a truly beautiful setting. We are constantly developing the food and beverage offering and making enhancements to the outside dining areas. Our menu features seasonal British ingredients and is freshly prepared each day — there is no better spot for dining on the river in the whole of Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
