Specialties
I teach adults music. I specialise in jazz and classical piano, clarinet and saxophone, and teach beginners through to advanced. Many of my pupils have gone on to professional careers, although I also enjoy teaching students who wish to play for self-fulfilment. I also teach guitar and singing, and have an MA in choral conducting. My first degree is in music teaching.
I devise a programme unique to you, which incorporates your desired repertoire, and focusses on your aims, goals and desires.
I provide music, backing tracks, instruments if required, and can prepare for exams and concerts.
Meet the Business Owner
Mike H.
Business Owner
I have 25 years of music teaching experience, and play professionally saxophone, clarinet and piano. I also direct and conduct a jazz big band, dixeland band, play in a couple of tribute bands, am a church organist and choir director. I support local music and arts programmes, and am a member of the Milton Glee Club and Maury Dean’s Big Band. I have written and published many musical compositions in classical, church and jazz formats.
I believe that every one can be a musician, and work tirelessly to support that proposition.
Ex pupils include many professional jazz, classical and academic musicians, but also very many happy amateur enthusiasts!
