This hidden gem of Pontypridd’s pub circuit is hidden away down a small side street by Boots its very easy to miss. It always has a fantastic atmosphere and offers fantastic live music ranging from rock to a traditional welsh choir. This is a must!

Hidden away down a side street just off the main shopping street of Taff Street in Pontypridd Town Centre, Clwb y Bont is a member run club for people who speak Welsh although English speakers are also welcome. Often have live bands and acoustic nights. Well worth a visit as everyone is very friendly.

Clwb y Bont is a jewel in Ponty’s crown. It’s somewhere you can chat in Welsh, if you want to(and can!) or somwhere really different to go if you speak any other language! I grew up in Ponty and had some wonderful nights in this pub. There’s no where else like it for miles and that makes it worth a look.

It’s easy to miss this great little club as it’s down a side street of Taff Street. It’s a club run by it’s members, who’s aims are to provide a venue in the town for people to socialise in Welsh, although everyone is welcome — the staff and locals make you fell very welcome. The club hosts all types of music nights from traditional Welsh music, to jazz and punk. They serve real ale and all the drinks are VERY reasonable. You might be lucky and catch the resident choir(Côr y Bont) have a practice when you visit.
