Raceway Karting

Booked in for my sisters Birthday treat via Groupon offer and we’ll definitely go back again.
The booking was straightforward– all done online and swift email confirmation was received– we even got an email reminder 48hrs before!
The location itself is OK to find apart from the last quarter mile when you’re in an industrial estate which isn’t greatly lit!
The reception guy was cheery and gave us the disclosure to complete before showing us to the waiting room.
You can ‘spectate’ whats happening on the track from the waiting room and they also have details of offers, clubs etc and the obligatory ‘wall of fame’ for fastest laps etc.
We were shown into the ‘safety briefing room’ to watch the obligatory safety and information video for 10ish mins and then the reception guy came back to retrieve us and fired off a quick test question session to make sure we’d listened!
We then had to go through the disheartening donning of the uniform– well, the Mr and sister did ok but I couldn’t find one i was happy with that actually fastened properly! They definitely need to up their game there!
We then had to put on helmets and gloves and onto the track we went.
The supervisor made sure we were happy with the carts and off we went.
The track is great, good tight turns and straights and ample passing places (of which I got lapped on– twice!!)
We were in for 5 lap warm up and 30 min race– i came last! :-(
We had a great laugh and we’d definitely go again.
The staff are knowledgeable without being too stuffy, the track well laid out and the only criticism was the uniforms not fastening and the helmets steaming up (which is a regular hazard apparently)
A fun day/​night out for groups, family or anyone really.
