I love this place! It has a really laid back vibe and the food is amazing! The noodle boxes are absolutely delicious and its great that you can order them as a take away too to eat on the barbican on a sunny day! The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. They often have entertainment in the evenings and I have been fortunate enough to see some really talented local musicians and comedians here! Definitely recommend this place!

As a visitor to Plymouth, I came here for some food last Saturday evening. First impressions of bar was nice and relaxed and other patrons outwardly appeared to reflect that vibe. I ordered masman curry, cola and a beer. Curry served in a box, but done in a Bohemian fashionable way. Dont let this way of serving to discourage you visiting. Curry was fragrant, chicken and potatoes tender. Excellent. Service was friendly and laid back. Definitely return.

Never seem to get their publicity or discover until late that there is a good gig or performance but we have been to some good stuff and the food at lunchtime and early evening is consistently reliable. The Thai curry boxes are tasty and good value and you can leap in the opposite direction and have a lovely piece of cake and mug of tea.

We’ve eaten here several times, either before going upstairs to the Barbican Theatre or enjoying the B-Bar’s own excellent entertainment, notably the comedy club every first Wednesday of the month. The food is Thai and it is consistently good, with some dishes hot & spicy, others simply full of fantastic flavours. Portions are good, although you’ll have to accept eating out of cardboard boxes(unless you bring your own plates!) Plymouth doesn’t have a Wagamama, but then it doesn’t need one while this excellent noodle bar is around.
