The Hungry Guest’s passion for food is evident from the moment you step inside our Petworth Food Shop. With it’s clean cut layout and diverse range of products available, the store successfully entices and inspires each visitor that enters.

Our specialist goods come from suppliers we are proud to work with. Our meat counter boasts a wide variety of locally reared beef from Sussex and Surrey farms, in house prepared sausages and a wide variety of charcuterie.

Our Cheese room proudly sits at the back of our store and houses some of the finest artisan cheeses from the rolling hills of Sussex and Scotland to the rustic farmhouses of Hampshire and Helette in the Pyrenees. Delivered direct to our shop, these specially selected marvels are matured to perfection and enjoyed by many.

History

Established in 2011.

The Hungry Guest opened its doors in November 2011 following the vision and creativity of its founder Troels Bendix. The brand, which includes a wholesale artisan bakery and production kitchen, a one stop shop which boasts its own butchery corner and walk in cheese room, a café and basic store cupboard staples such as pulses, flour, sugar, condiments and wonderful fresh sour dough loaves sit alongside more speciality products from producers such as Hallgate Farm, Goodwood Estate, Scott Free Range, Mons Fromagent and many more. The brand has since then established itself as a firm favourite in Petworth, West Sussex.
