Somehow, this is my favorite chippy in England. Part nostalgia, maybe. The curry sauce has something in it, maybe hoisin, that takes it over the top. It’s perfect. The chips kinda stick together, but are still delicious, as is the fish.

Wongs is a Yaxley institution. Queues regularly out the door during rush hour and yet you’ll be on your way within 10 minutes. Chips are freshly cut, oil is regularly changed and batter is light and fluffy. The staff are organised, clean cut, friendly and the place is spotless.
