The home of the Pirates, this is the place where the Cornish Pirates started. The bar area is next to the rugby pitch, which now is home to Mounts Bay. The Cornish Pirates play up in Camborne where the pitch and changing room facilities are better. The clubhouse can be hired out for functions. There are 3 or 4 rooms in the downstairs area, non of them very big. If you do have a function there, you will end up having the food (buffet) in one room, and wondering around the others whilst you mingle. There is a dance floor, and possibly it is the smallest one in the county, about 2m square! The staff are great, and the prices cheap. Worth a visit. They have a large TV screen, but I don’t know how many sports they show.
