This little place is certainly unassuming.
Having heard of it’s infamy I was surprised to find it tucked down a little side street, smack bang in the middle of obscurity.
It’s really great, it has a really good range of home wear, gift items and interior design. I found it really useful when buying a gift for a friend who’d recently moved house. The unique nature of the pieces means that there is a real feeling that you’re buying a one off, even if that isn’t the case,

Wowee! This store sells the most beautiful items and as a big fan of interior design, I’m already planning my next trip. What I particularly adore about this shop is that most of the pieces available are completely unique, and I haven’t seen them available to purchase elsewhere. One word of warning though, avoid buying the birthday cards; at £6 they’re far too pricey (there’s nothing particularly special about them) and I guarantee the person you give one to will not appreciate it’s value.

This is a beautiful little shop that is quite unexpected due to its slightly hideaway location and modest frontage. When you walk into Hamptons you know that you’ve found a little bubble of quality in Penarth.
They sell a wide range of home, garden and gift ware. Ranging from bath bombs to tables and chairs. The space is decorated superbly, and is a pleasure to be in as you potter around. Their items for sale are all of a high quality, and have price tags to match, but you would get what you paid for at Hamptons.
There is a great little café upstairs, The Blue Pelican Café (which I’ve also reviewed), so Hamptons is a lovely little place acting as getaway from the hustle and bustle of Windsor Road. However, this is not really the kind of place you could go and relax for hours at a time with a book. This is the kind of place where women take tea; take heed, and be careful not to break anything.

The shop sells really good home products such as candles, kitchen wear, art.
At Christmas the shop is a definite visit. The owners clearly put in alot of effort into the look of the shop and the staff are always very welcoming.

Luxury comes to Penarth in the style of this magnificent Two storey shop. The ground floor is beautifully laid out with all manner of superb goods including china and other lovely homeware, utterly gorgeous gift wrap and festive decorations, candles and other scented lovelies too. Upstairs is the rather fabulous blue pelican café which is also licenced and does lunches too. You can buy anything from a fancy floral tea cup to a deluxe sofa with cusions to match here! Also superb light fittings and a christmas display unrivaled in the Vale every year!
Its not cheapbut then everyone deserves a little lux in their life now and again! The store also has late opening hours once a week and a very handy lift for pushchairs/​wheelchairs.
