I was a bit dubious that I could find a decent place to eat in Cabot circus, however Amano Café succeeds by being what I didn’t expect to find somewhere like this. It’s another one that claims allegiance to the slow food movement. Although I have to say that I got my food pretty quickly, not that I’m complaining. It’s something of a hybrid place, trying to be a bakery in the mornings and a cocktail bar in the evenings, amongst other things. They don’t do everything they try with equal success, but as a place for a spot of lunch Amano fares pretty well. The menu(which doesn’t stay the same). They’ve got some lovely flat bread sandwiches, and a few other things you don’t find everywhere else(including something called a wrapanini, whatever that is…). All the basics are here as well. You get it quick, it’s fresh, perfect for refuelling during a drudge round Cabot Circus. This is a decent café, that does fairly well at being a little bit adventurous.
