Down here in Padstow aka Steinville, hidden amongst Rick Stein’s establishments lies Focsle. This is type of restaurant that you will find dotted along any/most coastlines and harbours, although they are trying to compete with Rick Stein’s popularity and is clearly visible that its struggling to keep up, but its winning charm is that its the type of restaurant that you would be drawn to in its location overlooking the harbour. you know a complete mix of customers from OAP’s to families with 2.4 children, creating that oldie worldy charm we all remember from our wonder years. The food is exceptionally good, I even opted for the fresh sardines, which i found to be very enjoyable, considering I don’t enjoy eating fish on the bone when dining out, yes I’m the one that ends up getting the bones stuck in my throat! So don’t rush to Rick Stein’s, try this little place out for lunch.
