A reasonable Indian restaurant. The only sit down one in Headington, but not bad for all that. Yes, there are better ones but you have to travel 2 miles to get to them, so sometimes you eat there, and generally you finish up saying ‘hey, this place is pretty good’. And that probably sums it up — pretty good, not great, but not pricey, does good Indian draught beer, and the staff are friendly. So if you live in Headington, use it or lose it, at least once in a while.

Great place! Yummy food, I had the special Biryani and it was delicious. Polite and friendly staff. Great quiet atmosphere. Very reasonabley priced, Good variety of food and drinks. I often can’t get a cider at these places. Fast service. we were on a deadline for the cinema and we didn’t tell them. We did wait a bit for the bill but we’d forgotten we’d requested to take away the remaining poppadom dips ;o)

Found this indian to be of a high standard of cuisine from the freshly prepared pickle tray to the wonderful madras that was aromatic and level of spice just to my liking which was quite hot, so glad i wasnt brave enough to go for the vindaloo as i am sure it may have beat me. Staff here were very chatty and extremely polite so all in all a pleasant experience and i would definately go here again

This is my favourite restaurant in Oxford. I’m sure it isn’t really the best but when you’re a student on a budget in Headington the Mirabai seemed fantastic. The food is good quality and consistant(I visited far too many times!) and reasonably priced even for a Oxford Brookes student. It is generally quiet in there with good décor and appropriate music. I must recommend the chicken dansak washed down with a sweet lassi. The Mirabai isn’t in the middle of town — it’s in Headington so it’s probably not best located for many. Also there is very little parking to be had. Perhaps this is why it is so quiet.

This is a great place to get a takeaway from — it’s also a restaurant, but I’ve never been in for a sit down meal. The food from here is great — really tasty and fresh. This is an Indian that’s a little bit different than the others in Oxford, as much of the food has a clean, citrus flavour about it. All very reasonably priced with a few really good specials — if you’re after a chilled out night in, order a couple of curries from here. You won’t be disappointed!
