We also offer Cycle Hire of our beautiful vintage English made bicycles. included in our tours and trips are things such as a free drink, traditional afternoon tea and entry into Oxford colleges. We pride ourselves on offering entertaining, exciting, and charming quality tours.

History

Established in 2011.

Established by two cycle loving sisters, Cycle Tours Oxford is the culmination of a lifetimes ambition to turn a personal passion into a source of public pleasure.

The inspiration for a bicycle based tour in Oxford was first given serious consideration in 2008. Having just spent 3 years studying for her degree in Oxford, Charmaine was eager to finally get to know the city that had been her home those last few years, and, with her sister visiting from London, thought that there would be no better way of discovering the venerable city than by bicycle.

However, much to their surprise, nothing akin to this was available, despite Oxford’s eminent suitability for such an endeavour. It was this lack of such an activity that galvanised the girls on to grasp the opportunity to create Cycle Tours Oxford!

Business Owner

My name is Darnella and I am the co-​founder and Director of Cycle Tours Oxford Limited. After completing my BA honors in History of Art at UCL in 2010 I was eager to set up my own company encompassing elements of my degree. Cycle Tours Oxford was born out of a passion for culture and history and to provide people with a great and interesting and unique experience, often lacking in other tours.

I hope to expand my cycle tours across Britain and soon to have a cultural touring company around the world.
