Joshua’s Harvest Store

This is a rather
pricey country ‘Harvest Store’ where you pay a little more for choice home
prepared healthy foods, prepared meals, delicious cakes, cheeses, hams,
preserves and much more. They also stock
a wide range of special food products and preparations and quirky and unusual
giftware. Great at Christmas for finding that unusual and special present (try
the great fun Victorian game ‘Muggins’). On the negative side
don’t expect any ‘smile and greet’ as you check in to the restaurant area or as
you walk around the store. Not much
customer service evident here (lose a point) but the food is good and the ‘platter’
concept works well and is a bit of a quirky novelty in itself. You have seeds and nibbles with the soup by
the way (pic) ! They try hard to only use local produce with the emphasis
strongly on organic wholefoods. There is a
restriction on the use of credit cards under a certain amount and expect to
wait a while as the cash machine tries to communicate on line. Parking is available
on site and there is easy disabled access.
