Description

Specialties

We provide good quality food at reasonable prices and specialise in baking. The menu covers light lunches, home made soups, salads and sandwiches but we do offer our signature dishes like Welsh Rarebit and Eggs Benedict on a fantastic sourdough toast. In addition we have a small vegetarian menu and some gluten free macaroni cheese. A full afternoon tea service can be booked which covers dainty sandwiches e.g. cream cheese and smoked salmon/egg mayonnaise/premium ham and pickle followed by scones with jam and cream plus slices of our homemade cakes and a raspberry pavlova.

History

Established in 2012.

The tea rooms have been in this location in the heart of Uppermill for many years but were renovated and re-opened in July 2012 by the new owner. In July 2013 the business was improved with a new menu and a re-styling of vintage world war II memorabilia to create a nostalgic feel. So come and find us for a warm welcome — the kettle’s on.

The tea rooms are on the first floor with the entrance on Court Street.
